In an effort to find a unique sound, La Shica
has developed an unusual musical approach to her live shows. Founded on
the flamenco tradition, her songs are fused with copla music and an
urban hip-hop sound while she entertains with flamenco dancing. Her
band, an acoustic trio, draws from influences as diverse as Brazilian
music, funk, la copla and jazz. La Shica won the 2011 Spanish Music
Award for Best New Act.
