Summer is gone (supposedly) and fall will soon be in full swing.  This week, I'm featuring an Enanitos playlist because, let's face it, Enanitos Verdes are always a fun show to see live and their music never gets old. Consider this as the pre-game for their upcoming show at the Fillmore Silver Spring on Sunday, September 13.  (Get your tix here).

Let's get this started!

Dale Pascual- Off their album Guerra Gaucha, "Dale Pascual" forces you to jump with your fist in the air and sing at the top of your lungs "trabajar como negro para vivir como un perro, dale, dale Pascual!"

Adición: Off their "Inéditos" album, it's a song that not many people know because it never made it on a full produced studio album.  This track is a true Enanitos track that I hope they dust off and add to the set list for this tour.

Amores Lejanos: Quite possibly, in my humble opinion, one of the best Enanitos Verdes songs ever recorded.  The melody gets to your heart and your voice just knows the words by instinct. Always a highlight moment at an Enanitos show.

Mariposas:  The Pescado Original album brought us one of the sweetest, sincere and heartfelt Enanitos tunes to date.  "Mariposas" is a crowd sing-along favorite that will cheer you up when you are heartbroken and make you gushy when you are in love.

Cada Vez Que Digo Adiós: "Tenés que dejar a la gente que amás Y a ella que te mira con tristeza y alegría, y te dice: que te vaya bien mi amor... Yo te espero, siempre te esperaré..." We have all left someone we love behind not because we wanted to, but because we have to. Mellow, a bit of a downer but none the less an Enanitos track that you should know about.  Perfect song to listen to on a night of drinking right before the rancheras start, you know, to get your rockero heart in a sensitive mode ready to sing Chente songs.

A Las Tres: Also from the Pescado Original album, "A Las Tres" is a story of melancholy and love.  Struggles we all face to move on in search of a better life but always, with love as the motor that keeps us going.

El Umbral:  Also off the "Inéditos" album, "El Umbral" is reminiscent of the stories told in classics like "Luz de Día" and "Eterna Soledad".  Give it a listen and you will understand why this song is a hidden gem.

Te Vi En Un Tren: Before Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat, when you saw people you liked you had two choices: either confine them to your memory cause you weren't brave enough to talk, or go up and talk to them, risking making yourself look like a fool.

Extraño del Pelo Largo: Cause let's face it, you can't go see Enanitos Verdes without hearing this Rock En Español classic.  (Which comically, is a cover of this song.  Who knew?!)
